This is a variation of the Whole Foods Green Smoothie. It is a great gateway smoothie for starting out with green smoothies. I am pleased to report that my 4 and 7 year old boys loved it. I made popsicles with the leftover, which are great summer-time “treats.” You can substitute peach for mango and spinach for kale.
16 ounces of Coconut water (we use UFC brand, but use your favorite)
1 mango, peeled and seeded (or a bag of frozen mango)
1 frozen banana
1-2 cups washed kale, stems removed
2 Tablespoons Mila or chia seeds (for added fiber, protein and 6,000mg Omega-3s)
Add ice to make it colder
1) Add all ingredients to blender or Vitamix and blend on high for 30 seconds.
2) Pour into glasses and enjoy!
